A word from Captain Juan
“I have been running these waters since 2004. I answer my own phone, I run my own boat, and I only take one group a day — so the day is yours.”

The boat is also for hire
The Freedom goes out for tours, snorkeling days, sunset cruises and family celebrations too — same boat, same crew, same six seats. Tell us what you have in mind and we build the day around it.

The afternoon run with the sound system on, food and drinks aboard, and the sun going down off the bow.

The boat
A 1988 hull stripped and rebuilt in 2025, running twin Cummins BTA 330 diesels — 660 HP and a 25-knot cruise, which is what gets you to the good water while it is still early.
What guests say
Juan and his crew were fantastic. They were on time, met us at the beach and were very attentive. They helped us with everything on the boat, kindly and quickly. After fishing they cleaned and prepared some of the fish for us to eat right there. We highly recommend them.

Juan was great! We came to Costa Rica on a family vacation and booked several fishing trips. He is easy to reach and answers messages and calls quickly. I wanted to add an extra fishing day at the last minute and he made it happen. We caught two mahi mahi, a sailfish and a striped marlin. An incredible experience!

Excellent crew, a professional licensed local captain with years of experience. The captain lived and worked in the Toronto area for a few years. This fishing and tour boat is very safe.
